GENERAL FUNCTION

The Vice President Instruments North America is responsible for growth of the sales and profitability of the Instruments business across all product lines and services, with a focus on the growth of ophthalmic instruments through sales to optometrists and doctors' market segments, and the development of combined offers with Lens and Frames.

You will lead a robust Sales & Service Organization, evolving it to meet the present and future needs of the optometry and ophthalmology markets, supported by EssilorLuxottica Corporate Functions. With responsibility to implement a Regional Sales & Service organization across the region, this position leads business development to support Key Accounts, Alliances, Independents, Optical Schools while fostering the penetration of EssilorLuxottica Products into the North America market. The VP of Instruments is also in charge of supporting customer experience center for instruments, refurbishing center and Connectivity, working cross functionally inside EssilorLuxottica, this leader will align with leaders to create a unique and differentiated value for our customers and the patients we serve.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Accountability for Instruments P&L results across North America
  • Develop commercial strategy to expand and optimize sales and services (turnover, margins, quantities) in North America notably by developing the sales of Ophthalmic instruments in all market segments in major categories such as finishing equipment, eye health assessment, eye refraction, fitting measurements and teleoptometry solutions
  • Lead, develop and inspire a business team
  • Build strong customer relationships, maximizing the company's performance, and helping to achieve the financial goals.
  • Engage in key supplier relationships to ensure portfolio and team are supported through training and marketing support.


  • Contributing to sales innovations, strategic business development, and the profitability of the company as determined by the company's strategic goals.


  • Identifies and achieves immediate and long-term Instruments priorities, including influence on innovation and R&D
  • Communicates Instruments priorities and progress to functional leaders, to ensure consistency with team and commercial goals.
  • Accountable for managing the overall Essilor Instruments budget and all investments in North America
  • Develop a specific multi-network approach adapted to the North America market using all available brands and products offering.
  • Define the best strategy to promote the superiority of our products and services which allow exam experience that is more efficient, more comfortable and less stressful than a traditional eye exam experience.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree, Business or related
  • 15 years of commercial experience with progressive career responsibility
  • 10 years of proven experience in a business development leadership role in the ophthalmic / instrument industry
  • 5+ years executive leadership experience, including building and developing high performance teams


  • Ability to combine strategic vision with everyday tactical detail and a strong urge for action
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, empower others, and exemplify core behavioral values
  • Strong customer driven mindset



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • MBA or Masters degree
  • Experience in the medical healthcare industry


Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
