McNeilus Steel, Inc. is currently accepting applications for a new team member to join our company in our Fabrication Sales department. This position follows a 1st shift schedule Monday - Friday, fulfilling a 40-hour work week, with OT as needed.

The primary responsibility of the Fabrication Inside Sales Representative role is to build and maintain solid business relationships with our customers while effectively and accurately facilitating their order processes. This includes quoting, order entry, order fulfillment, and delivery. Because this role manages the entire order process for our fabrication customers, our Fabrication Inside Sales Representatives must communicate effectively with our customers, as well as multiple departments within the McNeilus Steel team. Duties/ Responsibilities



  • Build and maintain solid business relationships with customers by facilitating order and quote completion, providing accurate pricing information, ensuring on-time order delivery, and assisting in fulfilling all customer needs
  • Provide technical assistance as needed and be able to engage customers in discussions of market conditions
  • Communicate with customers via email, phone, and fax
  • Accurately convey the customer's needs to coworkers
  • Communication is vital to the role of the Inside Sales Representative, and they must be willing to adapt to the various personalities and business approaches that they will encounter
  • Review customer instructions for clarity and completeness
  • Communicate with Territory Managers to relay customer information and assist with sales leads
  • Participate in Company and Departmental meetings to review sales information, product development, and program advances
  • Make "Cold Calls" to evaluate customer perception of Company performance


Qualifications



  • A college education with a Bachelor's or Advanced Degree preferably in sales, marketing, communication, or equivalent sales or steel experience strongly preferred
  • Persuasive sales approach and positive outlook toward sales
  • Goal-oriented work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people and provide quick, logical problem-solving ability
  • Good phone etiquette
  • Patience and perseverance to achieve goals that have been set
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Outgoing personality and ability to work well as a team and individual
