Position Overview

Mid-Level Software Engineer that works from established requirements and uses established software engineering processes to develop software systems, subsystems, and system enhancements. Completes detailed design and development work independently for individual software components and integrates the developed products together individually and/or at the subsystem level. Follows software engineering standards and assists senior engineers in software system or subsystem development and documentation efforts. Adheres to schedules and stays within established budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and develop software functionality based on established requirements and specifications.
  • Prepares technical data and presentation material to support design reviews
  • Participate in and conduct software peer reviews to validate adherence to established coding and implementation standards.
  • Performs coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or other relevant degree.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as software developer.
  • Designs and develop software applications following established requirements and specifications using the appropriate tools.
  • Maintains and modifies existing software applications with minimal supervision.
  • Experience developing new software functionality and enhancing existing software.
  • Experience testing developed software in accordance with specified test procedures and resolving identified discrepancies and deficiencies.
  • Experience debugging, troubleshooting and fixing reported software issues

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience supporting military, government, or technical training programs.
  • Proficiency in C# or other object oriented programming languages such as C++ or Java.
  • Experience developing or supporting web-based applications
  • Experience defining and working with text-based structured data such as JSON and XML.
  • Experience with Modeling and simulation applications.
  • Experience working with and executing established Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Experience developing software applications using gaming engines such as Unity and/or Unreal Engine.

  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
