Overview


The Customer & Partner Engagement Manager (CPEM) is a strategic connector and trusted advisor, responsible for driving executive engagement, communications, and event support across the Professional Services organization. This role blends high-impact customer and partner interactions with operational excellence, ensuring the Corporate Vice President (CVP) is fully prepared, engagements are meaningful, and organization-wide communications are clear and effective. Success requires a strong sense of urgency and an entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on evolving how the role delivers value by identifying new opportunities and leveraging Copilot and other agentic capabilities.

Responsibilities

Executive Engagement

  • Prepare and support the CVP for customer and partner meetings, including the creation of briefing documents, talking points, and follow-up communications.
  • Assist sellers in engaging internal and external key stakeholders and facilitating executive sponsorships.
  • Track and report on customer and partner engagement activities, ensuring alignment with business goals and KPIs.
  • Strategize and prioritize executive involvement in key accounts and events.

Event Support

  • Coordinate and support field events such as Ignite, Build, C-Series, AI Tours, and industry-specific conferences (e.g., Legal Week).
  • Drive customer attendance and engagement at Microsoft events.
  • Manage logistics, invitations, and executive preparation for major events and community calls.

Communications

  • Draft and manage both internal and external CVP communications, including LinkedIn posts, press quotes, newsletters, and operating unit-specific updates.
  • Edit and review executive briefings for clarity and impact.
  • Serve as a resource for field teams, providing guidance on communications top practices and supporting flagship events.

Program Analysis

  • Conduct analysis on program initiatives, evaluate success metrics, and leverage analytics to examine performance, derive value, and identify risks and opportunities.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Relevant experience in customer-facing sales, program management, or a related role. Experience in a software or technology environment is helpful but not required.
  • Proven experience engaging with top executives and managing high-stakes customer and partner interactions.
  • Experience in event planning and coordination, with a focus on field support and executive engagement.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience tracking and managing customer engagement activities.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to challenge established approaches, move quickly from idea to action, and deliver measurable value.
  • Experience using Copilot, AI agents, or other agentic capabilities to improve workflows, increase impact, and create new value.

Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
