- 7+ years of experience in government affairs, legislative or congressional offices, regulatory agencies, trade associations, political organizations, public affairs consultancies, federal and state advocacy strategy, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the U.S. federal, state, and local political, legislative, and regulatory landscape.
- Experience with food, beverage, dietary supplement, caffeine, nutrition, consumer-product, or related policy issues preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor, analyze, and communicate legislative, regulatory, political, and advocacy developments.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with policymakers, government officials, trade associations, consultants, coalitions, and industry partners.
- Experience developing policy positions, briefing materials, talking points, stakeholder maps, and executive recommendations.
- Experience managing external consultants, coalitions, and trade-association relationships.
- Strong political judgment, strategic thinking, risk assessment, and issue-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues clearly to business and external audiences.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and travel as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Economics, or a related field.
- English required, German, French, Spanish or other language a plus.
