Senior ERP Business Analyst, Manufacturing & Planning

Starting Base Salary Range of $130,000 to $150,000 (DOE)

With that in mind, we have an exciting opportunity for a business systems analyst to provide project and production support for our ERP, planning, supply chain & manufacturing systems. To be successful in this role you'll need to:

  • Be the go-to IT business analyst for our Business Applications focusing on Manufacturing, Planning, Quality and Inventory. We use Oracle E-Business Suite as main ERP along with other 3rd party solutions (e.g. Logility for Planning) and other extensions
  • Lead system solution discussions with business operations and development teams to bridge the gap between operational needs and technical solutions
  • Show expert knowledge of the systems development lifecycle (SDLC), including developing and delivering detailed requirements documentation, process flow diagrams, and testing plans to development teams
  • Enable data driven decisions through SQL knowledge of the Oracle E-Business Suite data model
  • Design & implement development solutions for Oracle E-Business suite utilizing tools such as SQL, PL/SQL & Power BI

What You'll Be Doing as a Senior ERP Business Analyst, Manufacturing & Planning:

  • Leveraging your expert knowledge in supporting full lifecycle of projects through the IT Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including IT planning, defining functional and technical specifications, and SDLC management
  • Supporting Requirements Development by:
    • Conducting interviews and facilitating workshops to elicit business requirements. This position will be mainly working with Engineers, Manufacturing (components, assemblies and quality) teams, Planning and Procurement teams, and cost accounting team
    • Researching, analyzing, modeling and organizing information for developing requirements
    • Decomposing high-level information and abstracting up from low-level information and to distinguish solution ideas from business needs
    • Facilitating requirements validation sessions and presenting findings to client management and other stakeholders
    • Collaborating to resolve requirements conflicts between stakeholders
    • Researching, documenting, and validating current and future state processes and designs (functional and technical)
    • Helping to define best approaches, alternatives, and decision frameworks for alternative business solutions analyses

Skills/Experiences Needed as a Senior ERP Business Analyst, Manufacturing & Planning:

  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, CS, Business Operations, or a relevant field with a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated SDLC experience with full lifecycle IT projects, including waterfall and agile projects
  • Minimum 5+ Years hands on experience with ERP systems in a discrete manufacturing environment
  • Direct, hands-on fundamental understanding of key operational concepts in a MFG environment such as:
    • Multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs)
    • Routers
    • Product Information Management (PIM)
    • Knowledge of constraint-based planning approaches
    • Demand and Inventory Planning
    • Manufacturing Execution, and associated quality, cost accounting and material handling
  • Experience managing software vendor service requests & production support issue escalation
  • Advanced knowledge of Visio, Excel, SharePoint, and Microsoft O365 tools
    • Preferred Skills:
      • Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) ERP, preferably with BOM, PIM, WIP & Inventory/WMS modules
      • Experience with Demand, Inventory and Supply Planning software such as Logility, Kinaxis or Oracle ASCP
      • Oracle SQL & PL/SQL in an E-Business Suite environment
      • Microsoft Power BI reporting
      • Experience with Integration tools such as Jitterbit, Mulesoft, Boomi, or other similar technologies
      • Jira & Confluence for service desk, issue, and project management
      • APICS, CPIM, PMP, ITIL or other relevant certifications are a strong plus

Work Environment for a Senior ERP Business Analyst, Manufacturing & Planning:

Work is performed in a standard office environment with regular exposure to the manufacturing environment; may be required to lift/move computer equipment (~25 lbs.).
