  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, and product documentation.

  • Lead design activities for drivetrains, gear systems, mechanisms, housings, and structural components.

  • Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM, and DFA principles to ensure robust product designs.

  • Support prototype builds, product validation, issue resolution, and production launches.

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and suppliers to optimize performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.

  • Participate in design reviews, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support engineering change management and product lifecycle activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or related discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience designing mechanical or electromechanical products.

  • 5+ years experience with Creo, SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, or equivalent CAD systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in power tools, industrial equipment, automotive, or related industries.

  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and engineering drawing standards.

  • Experience designing injection-molded plastics, castings, machined components, and sheet metal parts.

  • Understanding of mechanical systems, gears, bearings, motors, and mechanisms.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Knowledge of planetary gearing, impact mechanisms, clutches, and power transmission systems.

  • Experience with Windchill or similar PLM systems.

  • Familiarity with FMEA, DVP&R, reliability testing, and root cause analysis.

What Success Looks Like

  • Delivers innovative, manufacturable designs that meet performance, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

  • Demonstrates strong ownership of product subsystems and technical decision-making.

  • Produces high-quality CAD models and release documentation.

  • Successfully supports new product launches and continuous product improvements.

  • Acts as a trusted technical contributor within global engineering teams.
