Position Summary

Design products, components, and systems that meet the stringent requirements of the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.

Authority

Authorized to stop any design that compromises product quality or that may place at risk the personnel involved in manufacturing the product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Design and develop products and systems for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical applications.
  • Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Quality, and Manufacturing.
  • Conduct testing and validate designed systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain detailed technical documentation, including engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and test reports.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools to organize and present data, create reports, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of engineering processes and design standards.


Education and/or Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • More than 3 years of relevant experience in design engineering, preferably in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environments.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with testing methodologies and the preparation of formal test reports.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel for training and functional support.
  • Experience in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environments.
  • Knowledge of ASME BPE standards and sanitary design principles.
