SUMMARY: The position will require working closely as a business partner with management and multiple functions including Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain and R&D to develop and implement strategic, operational, and process improvements that will drive business performance and margin growth.He/she will directly report to the Finance Director NSA and be located at the Madison, IN manufacturing site. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
* Reporting/analyzing monthly financial performance, preparing budgets and forecasts, working closely with plant management in analyzing, improving and measuring operational performance. * Partner with plant leadership teams to identify opportunities that will increase productivity and deliver cost savings. * Enhance the processes and tools used to deliver management reporting to provide relevant, timely financial information to support decision-making, aligned with organizational objectives. * Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including revenue, cost of sales, expenses, capital expenditures, free cash flow, and other relevant areas. * Provide commentary and presentations of financial performance trends and root cause analysis of forecast/plan variances. * Oversee cost accountant to maintain and improve standard costing processes * Support planning to understand capacity versus demand in forecast and strategic plan processes. * Improve inventory accuracy through monitoring and enforcement of cycle count program. * Develop and utilize robust analytical tools to identify areas for operational efficiency improvements and cost savings. * Participate in Lean Manufacturing events, Gemba walks and other cost reduction initiatives. * Provide mentoring, leadership, and development within the finance team. * Ability to effectively interact when dealing with internal and external personnel. * Maintains a high level of confidentiality with all information obtained. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
* Proved experience in standard costs accounting system. Preferably have either CPA and/or CMA or an MBA. * Experience in a manufacturing environment using ERP systems. * 10+ years' experience in a professional finance/business environment. * Business-oriented financial professional. * Excellent verbal/written communication skills, proven results orientation, and ability to deliver quality, on-time results are key. * Significant ability in financial modeling with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. * Ability to maintain honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions. * Must be knowledgeable in financial accounting and reporting. * Possess excellent analytical and financial modeling skills. * Be skilled in ability to effectively communicate accounting and financial information to all levels across the organization. * Have a sense of urgency in their delivery and flexibility in terms of their style and approach. * Must be a strong leader and change agent with high integrity and proven success managing and developing a team. * Take full ownership and accountability for their group performance and will always strive towards continuous improvement.
