What to Expect
Consider before submitting an application: This position is expected to start around January or February 2027 and continue through the entire Spring term (ending approximately May 2027 or later, if available). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program.Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships. International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year. About the Role: The Responsible Sourcing Team is looking for a highly skilled and motivated intern to support our Supply Chain Organization in strategic procurement topics with a focus on understanding and improving supplier performance to Tesla's supplier sustainability expectations. You will be part of a team that is positioned independently from any commodity and serves within an internal supply chain optimization group. Your focus will be on continuous improvement topics that are prioritized based on business criticality and opportunity for positive change. The role will turn Tier 1 supplier responsibility audit results into actionable insights and pathways to practical improvement. Working closely with the Supplier Responsibility Audit team within Responsible Sourcing, analyze self-assessment questionnaire results, audit data and corrective action plans to build a framework for long-term improvement of covered topics. This framework will impact internal (supply chain) and external (supplier) stakeholders and will include development of guidelines for procurement stakeholders, development of supplier-facing materials, and helping map Tesla's current supplier responsibility due diligence work.
