JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

The Digital Strategy Product Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of assigned digital value streams, client journeys or platforms, overseeing strategy and roadmap development through implementation, launch, and continuous optimization. Serving as the voice of the customer, this role translates user needs, market insights, and business goals into product requirements, user stories, and prioritized backlogs, while collaborating across cross-functional teams to support enterprise digital transformation objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and execute the product roadmap for an assigned digital value stream, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy, client needs, and business objectives.
  • Identify and deliver opportunities that drive digital growth, client acquisition, adoption, retention, revenue generation, and operational efficiency.
  • Translate product strategy into prioritized initiatives, business requirements, and user stories while managing the product backlog to maximize value delivery.
  • Partner with Technology and cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and design through implementation, launch, and ongoing optimization.
  • Define, monitor, and communicate key performance indicators and business outcomes, using data and analytics to inform decisions and measure success.
  • Leverage customer insights, market research, competitive benchmarking, and industry trends to identify product enhancements and emerging opportunities.
  • Evaluate digital experiences, processes, and technology capabilities to identify and remove barriers, inefficiencies, and gaps that impact client experience or business performance.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional stakeholders, including Marketing, Retail Banking, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and vendors, to ensure successful product delivery and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide product expertise and strategic guidance during planning, design, solutioning, and prioritization activities to support enterprise digital objectives.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring less experienced associates (junior product managers) and promoting best practices in product management, analytics, and digital strategy.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4 years of experience in digital product management, digital strategy, or related technology roles.
  • 1 year of financial services or other highly regulated industry experience required.
  • Experience managing products through the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience writing business requirements and/or user stories.

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions.
  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
