Electrical Engineering Associate I

CEMS Engineering, Inc. is searching for an Electrical Engineering New Graduate with strong technical abilities, who expresses an interest in Building Sciences; specifically, Design of Interior Power Distribution, Interior/Exterior Lighting, Utility Power Distribution, Motors, Transformers, and Telecommunications. This position is located at our Summerville, SC office. Candidates should have a sound technical foundation and strong verbal and written communication skills.

The successful candidate's responsibilities may include:

• Assist senior engineers with routine design.
• Prepare Electrical plans and specifications.
• Review calculations and drawings.
• Handle other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical Engineering
• Successfully completed coursework addressing Basic Circuits.
• Must be able to coordinate with other engineering teams/disciplines within the firm.
• Ability to work independently in a team environment and effectively manage time.
• Must be able to work and effectively coordinate with staff in multiple office locations.
• Effective time-management, written communication skills, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, decision making capabilities, problem resolution skills, and a sense of initiative are important for this internship.
• Ability to work in a team environment is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills required.
• Must be a US Citizen

Desired Qualifications:

• Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) Registration.
• Experience or working knowledge of AutoDesk Revit.
