Senior Project Manager

Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of projects to achieve scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality objectives.
• Serve as the primary liaison among clients, design teams, contractors, consultants, public agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Establish project management plans, procedures, documentation standards, quality processes, and reporting protocols.
• Lead planning and design coordination, user-group engagement, constructability reviews, procurement and bid phases, construction execution, commissioning, closeout, and turnover.
• Manage project budgets, estimates, forecasts, schedules, change control, risk registers, and other project-controls activities.
• Identify project risks and complex design or construction issues; develop mitigation strategies, recommend actions, and drive timely resolution.
• Track progress against milestones and performance indicators and provide clear, timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, safety requirements, codes, permits, and applicable agency standards.
• Lead project meetings, document decisions and commitments, and follow action items through completion.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with existing and prospective clients and represent Vanir professionally in the marketplace.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop project managers, assistant project managers, construction managers, project engineers, and support staff.
• Support successful project closeout, documentation, commissioning, records completion, and turnover to the owner.

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, project management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Seven or more years of progressively responsible project or construction management experience, including leadership of complex projects, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, and accountability for project outcomes.
• Experience working with public-sector owners or similarly complex organizations.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, drawings and specifications, estimating, scheduling, cost management, change management, and construction administration.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects through multiple phases of delivery, including planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, judgment, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, negotiate effectively, and drive issues to resolution in a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using construction or project management systems.

• Experience managing planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout for complex facilities or infrastructure.
• Experience leading or participating in public procurement processes, including RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and working with permitting authorities, public agencies, and community or user stakeholders.
• Experience developing and managing budgets, schedules, forecasts, change orders, project documentation, and management reporting.
• Experience managing design phases, including user-group engagement, constructability reviews, and development of drawings and specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor staff, foster collaboration, and support effective team performance.
• Experience applying project-controls tools and principles to estimating, cost control, scheduling, forecasting, and construction administration.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Procore, Primavera, Bluebeam, Prolog, or comparable systems.

• Experience leading projects in one or more relevant markets, including K-12 education, Healthcare and Justice facilities. Experience across multiple markets is valued but not required.
• Experience working with school districts on capital programs, bond planning, or community-facing projects.
• Experience with alternative project delivery methods, including Design-Build and Progressive Design-Build.
• Current architect, professional engineer, or general contractor license.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or willingness to obtain it.
• DBIA Designated Design-Build Professional or Associate DBIA certification, or a commitment to obtain it.
• Direct experience supervising and developing professional staff.
