Overview
Suburban Water Systems is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Designer to join our Engineering team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide variety of water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, tanks, and wells, while developing skills in engineering design, CAD, and construction support. We are looking for candidates who enjoy solving technical challenges, working in both the office and the field, and contributing to projects that provide our customers with safe, reliable water supply. Work Environment and Conditions
Works primarily in an office environment using CAD and engineering software, while also conducting site visits to water system facilities, construction sites, and project locations to gather field data and verify existing conditions. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting and computer work, as well as walking, standing, and navigating outdoor project sites. Employees must be able to operate a company vehicle, occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and work safely in varying weather and environmental conditions.
