Receives, inspects, and verifies incoming inventory to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with purchase orders and company standards. Evaluates received materials, processes inventory transactions in ERP systems, and maintains detailed records of quantities, condition, and disposition of materials. Supports inventory integrity by coordinating with Quality, Warehouse, and other stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production: 65%

  • Receives and inspects incoming shipments to confirm accuracy, condition, labeling, and quantity against vendor purchase orders.
  • Identify discrepancies, damages, or non-conformities and communicates findings to carriers, Quality Assurance, and internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Creates and processes purchase order receiving transactions in AS400/A+ ERP, ensuring accurate inventory entries.
  • Notifies Quality Assurance for required inspections, including first articles or non-conforming materials.
  • Assigns received items to appropriate warehouse locations and prepares move labels for put-away.
  • Returns compliant materials to inventory and segregate damaged or non-conforming materials for further disposition.
  • Counts materials and posts totals inventory records to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Operates forklifts and material handling equipment, as licensed, to unload and move palletized materials.

Administrative: 35%

  • Maintains organized and accurate receiving documentation, packing lists, and transaction records for audit and historical reference.
  • Prepares lists of discrepancies, shortages, or damaged items and supports follow-up investigations as required.
  • Assists with inventory reporting related to received materials, including quantity variances and exceptions.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with warehouse standards.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Two years of related warehouse receiving, inventory control, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Prior experience using ERP systems (AS400/A+ or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Forklift Certification Required.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 3 or more years of related experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically High School education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training. Bachelor's degree preferred.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
