Senior Instructional Technologist, Media Production

• Develops detailed knowledge of the law school's technology infrastructure, instructional technology, and classroom facilities in relation to the delivery of academic and event programming, including an increasing demand to support video production.
• Participates in department planning to identify instructional technology and production services.
• Coordinates audio and video needs for Law School events including providing technical support during web conferencing events.
• Manages the production studios and related services.
• Creates multimedia content using professional hardware including but not limited to audio, images, and video, using knowledge of lighting, scenery, camera angles, and other production-related skills.
• Provides editing of multimedia content using professional hardware and software including but not limited to audio and video content. Editing typically involves the use of non-linear video and multi-track audio editing software.
• Assists with the distribution of video, audio podcasts, and other multimedia content through YouTube and other platforms.
• Manages the media collection and nonacademic content on the media server; coordinates access to media in both classrooms and on hosted platforms.
• Develops and delivers tutorials, workshops, and documentation on the use of software and technologies.
• Provides troubleshooting and testing of web conferencing and Audiovisual equipment (cameras, microphones, web conferencing platforms, integrated AV systems).
• Serves as backup for delivery of department services related to the use of audiovisual and other technologies in law school spaces.

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master's degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 3 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Experience in video production, video streaming, editing, and file management using hosted solutions.
• Experience with learning management systems.
• Knowledge of best practices in online learning and distance education.
• Knowledge of instructional design theory and online course development.
• Experience setting up and participating in web conferencing technologies such as Zoom.
• Experience with video and audio editing software and creation of basic video graphics.
• Experience using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience with switching live video in a production environment.
• Track record of identifying and shaping storytelling opportunities and producing polished products for public audiences.
• Knowledge of AV room systems and supporting users with classroom technology.
• Writing skills and oral communication skills that demonstrate the ability to convey information clearly and accurately with customers, colleagues, and supervisors.
• Demonstrated superior interpersonal, communication, customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
