| Primary Purpose and Essential Functions |
The mission of the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy (the School) is to prepare students for lifelong success in health careers by providing an excellent, student-centered learning environment. We aspire to develop leadership skills in our students and a strong commitment to their professions, to interprofessional collaboration, and to society. These efforts are assisted by linkages across the University of the Pacific (the University) professional and liberal arts programs. We support outstanding professional and graduate teaching, research and other scholarly activity, and services as a means of achieving our mission.
The Assistant Clinical Professor position is a part-time, non-tenure track appointment at the University of the Pacific, Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy. The faculty serves as a member in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and the Regional Coordinator of Redding, in California.
The responsibilities of the faculty are to teach in the Doctor of Pharmacy program, supervise senior Pharm.D. students during their experiential rotations, teach didactic and experiential courses, facilitate interprofessional education, schedule rotation sites for students assigned to their region, advise students, provide clinical or professional expertise to the host institution, develop new sites or rotations, and provide orientation, support and preceptor development to volunteer and adjunct faculty.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Must be licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in California.
- A Pharm.D. with residency and/or fellowship, or 5 years of clinical experience is required.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Strong leadership and clinical practice experience, ethical conduct, professionalism, multicultural and diversity competence, management abilities, and effective interpersonal communication skills are required.
- Current employment at Dignity Health Mercy Medical Center Redding is strongly preferred.
- Periodic visits to clinical sites in the Redding area and occasional travel to Stockton campus for meetings and collaboration are required.

| Hiring Range |
$152.10 per classroom hour. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. |
