Lead Virtual Safety Technician

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$20.50 - $24.09 / hour

This individual oversees direct monitoring of high-risk patients to ensure safety via continuous observation using video remote monitoring equipment. Acts as working leader providing technical direction and guidance to Virtual Safety Technician staff. Promotes patient safety in all aspects of the role and upholds standards of privacy, confidentiality, and professionalism. Communicates effectively with all patient caregivers to ensure patient receives safe and quality care. Reports changes in patient condition or behavior to appropriate caregiver.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of one year as a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Safety Technician, Psychiatric Technician or other nursing support role in an acute care setting required.

Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required or must be obtained within 30 days after hire date.

License: N/A

Other:

Completion of De-escalation training, Mental Health education and Mobility training within 90 days after hire date.

Basic computer operation skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Applications.

Must have tact, good judgment, great communication skills and patience, in dealing with patients who are at risk for falls and injury.

Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.

Knowledge and skills in English usage.
