Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager to support Veolia Water Technologies' Technology & Product organization. In this role, the successful candidate will lead the execution of water and wastewater technology projects from engineering and procurement through construction, commissioning, and start-up. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical project management background, excellent customer and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced project environment.

This role is well suited to a self-motivated, organized, and commercially aware professional who can manage scope, schedule, cost, resources, risks, and customer expectations. The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, project controls, Sales, Finance, Legal, suppliers, and customers to deliver safe, high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead project execution from contract handoff through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up, and closeout.
• Define and manage project scope, schedule, budget, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
• Communicate project goals, responsibilities, priorities, and dependencies to the project team.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, project controls, construction, vendors, subcontractors, and start-up activities.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for the customer regarding process, scope, equipment, schedule, and project status.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor project performance, including cost versus budget, schedule, percentage complete, risks, opportunities, and forecasted costs.
• Prepare monthly project reports and communicate status, issues, and required actions to management.
• Identify, document, evaluate, and manage scope changes and change orders.
• Support negotiations with suppliers and customers through Procurement and Sales.
• Review and interpret internal and external contracts, including scope, payment terms, schedule, changes, and risk.
• Prepare internal costing, tax, legal, insurance, and risk assessment documentation and obtain required approvals.
• Escalate issues that may affect project cost, schedule, scope, quality, customer satisfaction, or profitability.
• Support commissioning, start-up, customer handover, project closeout, and lessons-learned activities.
• Ensure project documentation, decisions, risks, and deliverables are organized and accessible.
• Share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of project execution processes.

• Comfort working within established processes while developing creative solutions when needed.
• Ability to use project data, team input, and site conditions to make informed decisions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and project scheduling, reporting, or project controls tools.

Education and Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical or science discipline.
• Five or more years of hands-on experience in project engineering and project management.
• Experience managing engineering, construction, equipment, technology, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating internal teams, vendors, subcontractors, and customers.

Preferred:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with water or wastewater treatment systems, environmental technologies, or industrial process equipment.
• Experience with commissioning, start-up, or operational handover activities.
• Experience with project controls, cost forecasting, risk management, and change-order administration.
• Familiarity with project management or enterprise systems such as Microsoft Project, SAP, or equivalent.
