Position Title: Logistics Operator
Wage: $23.00-$25.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm QPS Employment Group is seeking a Logistics Operator to support day-to-day warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, and material-handling activities for a company in Oak Creek, WI. This is a potential to hire opportunity for 1st shift. Logistics Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Receive incoming materials and freight: unload trucks, verify shipments against documentation, inspect for visible damage or discrepancies, and route or stage material to the correct location - Prepare outbound shipments by picking, packaging, wrapping, palletizing, labeling, securing, and staging finished goods or materials according to shipping requirements - Prepare, verify, and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), labels, packing information, and shipment records - Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely; complete routine pre-use checks and report equipment issues promptly - Move and stage materials throughout warehouse, dock, and production areas to support efficient daily operations and material availability - Perform inventory and warehouse system transactions using scanners or computer systems; support accurate stock records, material identification, and inventory counts - Coordinate with carriers, internal teams, vendors, and customers as needed regarding shipment readiness, pickup and delivery requirements, and exceptions - Identify and report shortages, damaged product, labeling issues, shipping discrepancies, or process problems and support timely corrective action - Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards and applicable safety procedures - Follow standard work, work instructions, quality requirements, and established procedures; support updates or training when processes change Logistics Operator Requirements: - Prior experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or a related material-handling environment - Hands-on experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other powered material-handling equipment safely and efficiently - Ability to load, unload, move, organize, and stage materials or freight while protecting product condition and supporting efficient material flow - Working knowledge of shipping and receiving documentation such as Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, shipping labels, and related records - Experience using barcode scanners, warehouse or inventory systems, and basic computer tools to record and track material movement - Strong attention to accuracy when verifying quantities, labels, product condition, shipment information, and inventory records - Ability to follow standard operating procedures, safety requirements, and quality expectations in a warehouse or production environment - Dependable teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to respond to changing daily priorities in a fast-paced operation - Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for inventory, shipping, or receiving transactions; experience with Oracle JD Edwards is a plus - Experience palletizing, wrapping, packaging, labeling, and securing products for shipment - Familiarity with equipment inspections, and organized warehouse standards - Basic Microsoft Office skills and experience communicating with carriers, vendors, customers, or internal production teams - On-site warehouse and/or manufacturing environment with regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the shift - Ability to safely handle materials manually and with appropriate lifting or powered equipment, following all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety practices - Ability to work around moving equipment, loading docks, warehouse traffic, and production activity while maintaining strong safety awareness IND010 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
