Our client is a well-established, successful, and growing structural steel racking company that has been in operation for nearly 60 years. Currently, we are undergoing a major $3.7M plant overhaul with updated lighting; new equipment; new lunchroom and completely renovated men's and women's locker room spaces.
We are seeking an experienced Automation Maintenance Technician with strong hands-on skills in industrial electrical systems, controls, and automation. This is a maintenance position with a primary focus on electrical, controls, and automation, including PLC-controlled equipment. Location: Leola, PA Shift: 1st 6am - 2pm Pay: 30.00 - 35.00 based off experience/education REQ SKILLS: PLC / HMI / SCADA / Controls / 480V / Industrial Automation Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical, control, and automation systems. Diagnose PLC-controlled equipment and interpret ladder logic and control programs. Perform appropriate PLC/HMI program modifications and troubleshooting. Troubleshoot industrial communication networks. Troubleshoot control circuits from 24V DC through 480V AC. Diagnose and repair sensors, relays, contactors, overloads, motors, starters, servo systems, VFDs, and soft starters. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation. Perform panel wiring, component replacement, and circuit verification. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment. Perform mechanical repairs, adjustments, component replacement, lubrication, alignment, and other routine maintenance activities. Troubleshoot equipment using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls principles. Respond to equipment failures and safely restore equipment to reliable operation. Identify recurring problems and participate in root-cause analysis. Recommend and implement improvements that increase equipment reliability, safety, and maintainability. Support equipment modifications, automation upgrades, installations, startups, and commissioning. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in industrial automation maintenance. Strong hands-on electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and interpreting ladder logic. Experience with electrical systems from 24V through 480V. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Working knowledge of mechanical maintenance and equipment troubleshooting. Ability to troubleshoot equipment using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic principles. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a small maintenance team. Willingness to perform maintenance tasks outside of one's primary technical specialty.
