KPMG is currently seeking a to join our Tax practice.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to family enterprises, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and closely held businesses by delivering strategic tax planning, compliance, and advisory services
  • Lead and oversee complex individual, gift, estate, trust, partnership, and business tax engagements, including matters involving family-owned operating businesses, investment structures, and multi-generational wealth planning
  • Build, manage, and expand relationships with clients, acting as a primary point of contact while delivering exceptional client service and identifying opportunities to provide additional value
  • Direct multiple engagement teams, providing technical leadership, engagement oversight, quality control, and mentorship to tax professionals across the practice
  • Manage engagement economics, including project planning, staffing, budgets, billing, collections, risk management, and overall financial performance
  • Drive the growth of the family enterprise practice through business development, thought leadership, process improvement initiatives, market-facing activities, and collaboration across KPMG private, asset management, and other specialty tax groups
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications
  • Minimum eight years of recent tax experience serving family enterprises, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, trusts and estates, privately held businesses, partnerships, or related clients within a public accounting firm, corporate tax department, or law firm
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required; licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list
  • Deep technical knowledge of individual income tax, trust taxation, estate and gift taxation, family office tax matters, and wealth transfer planning strategies
  • Significant experience with partnership taxation, pass-through entities, operating partnerships, partnership allocations, and closely held business structures
  • Exposure to asset management, alternative investments, private equity, hedge funds, venture capital, or investment partnership taxation preferred
  • Proven success leading multiple client engagements, managing large teams, mentoring professionals, and developing long-term client relationships
  • Strong business development, advisory, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to articulate complex tax matters and drive practice growth
