This position is responsible for auditing, quality system compliance, nonconformance management, corrective actions, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. As a key partner to plant leadership, engineering, and operations, the role drives quality system effectiveness, facilitates MRB activities, ensures timely resolution of quality issues, and promotes a culture of operational excellence and customer focus. Essential Job Responsibilities: Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the site's Quality Management System (QMS). Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and automotive quality standards. Partner with plant leadership to support IATF 16949 readiness initiatives and quality system maturity. Support new product launches through APQP activities, PPAP submissions, process audits, and launch readiness reviews. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks and ensure successful program launches. Lead internal audits and support customer and third-party audits. Manage nonconforming material processes, including containment, disposition, and corrective action activities. Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities to evaluate product nonconformances and determine appropriate disposition. Drive root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality performance. Support customer and supplier quality activities, including audits, corrective actions, and compliance requirements. Serve as a quality systems resource for internal teams, customers, and suppliers. Monitor quality KPIs and prepare data for management reviews. Track quality objectives and drive actions that improve system effectiveness, scrap reduction, and customer satisfaction. What will make you successful? Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. At least 4 years of professional experience in manufacturing quality engineering. Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Experience with IATF 16949 implementation, certification readiness, or quality system management. Internal, customer, and third-party auditing experience. MRB, nonconformance management, and corrective action experience.
