Position Summary

Our Leadership Development Program focuses on the holistic development of early leaders through the lens of Strategic Pricing. We seek individuals who possess hard and soft skills that contribute to versatility in their careers and the ability to adapt to varied professional scenarios.

The program structure includes two six-month rotational placements that include six learning sprints over the course of a year. This approach will help participants rapidly build competencies and create alignment around common business challenges. After year one, participants can expect to be placed as Analysts with continued support and development from the program to foster engagement and empowerment as you grow your career.

Graduates of this program will emerge with the capacity to be strategic pricing champions having learned how to use the power of pricing to achieve sustainable growth in revenue, market share, and company value. More importantly, they will have honed a blend of technical and human skills that make them effective and adaptable in their careers.

  • Program duration: 1 year, followed by one year of post-program support.

  • Program Structure: 2 rotational assignments

  • Rotations' length: 6 months each.

  • Travel requirements: The assignments will likely require relocation. You will also be required to travel to Parker's corporate headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio for an extended onboarding period, preplanned learning sprints, program review, personal development and interaction with fellow program participants and mentors.

  • Relocation requirements: Geographic flexibility is required both during and upon completion of the program.

Essential Functions:

The one-year Pricing Leadership Development Program is designed to cultivate future strategic leaders at Parker.

Throughout the program, participants will assist Division Strategic Pricing Managers, by proactively analyzing data and making recommendations that balance customer value, competitive markets, and company costs. They will develop the ability to set fair, profitable, and differentiated prices, ensuring Parker's success in a dynamic market landscape.

They will also cultivate softer skills such as leadership, communication, and business acumen that are essential for their professional growth.

By the end of the program, graduates will be prepared to take on pivotal roles within Parker, leveraging their newly honed skills to drive sustainable growth in revenue, market share, and company value.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyze division product markets and determine market-level prices of products.

  • Evaluate and recommend pricing strategies considering volume, cost, competition, distribution, and segmentation.

  • Monitor and reinforce Corporate Strategic Pricing initiatives.

  • Implement tools for product managers and field sales.

  • Assist with the determination appropriate list prices, standard discounts, and rebates, and manage price increases.

  • Analyze exception pricing and recommend guidelines and authority levels.

  • Provide management with reports to respond to changing economic conditions and market changes.

  • Perform ongoing measurements and report on pricing effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree in an applicable Business program with a graduation date before June 2026.

  • BS in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred; two years or more of relevant experience a plus.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

  • Project management skills with sales/marketing/commercial experience a plus.

  • Willingness to relocate every six (6) months required.

  • Must be able to maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping pricing information confidential.
