Pay Transparency The hourly rate range for this position is $34.32- $56.19. In addition to the Surgical Technician position, the Lead Surgical Technician is a procedural specialist that leads the staff in the delivery of care that is consistent with quality standards. Acts as a clinical expert and clinical resource for staff, especially within the scope of their specialty. Provides input for assignment planning and patient scheduling to ensure that patient needs, and staff competencies are equitable. Able to detect and provide solutions for scheduling oversites. Facilitates and acts as a resource for problem solving and promotes communication and collaboration with staff and physicians to achieve goals. Works closely with surgeons to create, update, and maintain surgeon preference cards and custom pack contents. Communicates updates to staff on an ongoing basis. Responsible for the completeness and availability of supplies for specialty instrumentation and equipment, and works closely with Materials Management, vendors, and Sterile Processing Department to ensure patient needs are met. Demonstrates investment in the overall forward movement of the unit and the organization. Applies good interpersonal and communication process utilizing verbal and non-verbal skills to achieve organizational service goals of customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.
