MU TITLE: Educational Program Associate III LOCATION: Hillcrest Community Center - Columbia, MO The University of Missouri (MU) Office of Extension and Engagement's distinct land-grant mission is to improve lives, communities, and economies by producing relevant, reliable, and responsive educational strategies throughout Missouri. Our dedicated and knowledgeable faculty and staff collaborate with researchers and community leaders to develop and deliver programs that address needs of Missourians including educational attainment; environmental concerns; community, economic, business and workforce development; global food systems; and health systems. MU Extension's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (Osher@Mizzou) is a lifelong learning program that provides a variety of noncredit, affordable courses and other educational, cultural, and social offerings designed for adults aged 50 plus, all for the joy of learning. Osher@Mizzou currently offers more than 100 classes each year over four semesters during its academic year. For more information about Osher@Mizzou, visit osher.missouri.edu. This part-time, seasonal position is essential to the mission of Osher@Mizzou with a focus on the successful delivery of semester courses, exceptional customer service, and positive member relations. Osher classes are in session 24 weeks of the year, over four semesters, and the educational associate would work seasonally during those four semesters at around 20 hours per week. This position would work 24 to 32 weeks out of the year, with work breaks taking place between semesters. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
LEADERSHIP RECEIVED AND EXERCISED Administrative supervision is received from the Educational Director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (20 hours a week) for 24 to 32 weeks out of the year. Ability to occasionally work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, is required to fulfill assigned responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications
An Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 6 months of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
