Requisition Summary

PACCAR provides excellent benefits to our employees and their families. Our collaborative Corporate Benefits Team works together with HR professionals across the U.S. to ensure our programs are expertly administered and that our plan participants get maximum value. Our Benefits Team works jointly on projects throughout the year and each individual has areas of focus. We are looking for a Beneifts Specialist to assist with the administration of our U.S. disability plan and provide support on our other benefits programs. The Benefits Specialist will also serve as a lead in vendor-partner relationships and special projects.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Program manager for U.S. disability plan
    • Monitor, evaluate and project plans' financial performance
    • Manage program vendor including performance against KPIs and resolution of service issues
    • Evaluate, project financial impact and negotiate annual contract renewal including fees, KPIs andassociated fees at risk
    • Analyze current trends, recommend and project financial impact of plan design changes
    • Support HR Representatives and employee through the transition of STD claims to LTD, as needed
    • Negotiate and maintain current contracts
    • Ensure ongoing plan compliance including analysis and implementation of legislative changes andissuance of Summary Plan Descriptions, Summary Material Modifications and accuracy of annualForm 5500 (for 4 separate business units)
    • Ensure all DOL deadlines are met to protect the tax-protected status of the plans
    • Maintain and audit authorized PACCAR user system access as appropriate
  • Benchmarking, design and cost projection of leave programs
  • Manage Corporate Benefits email box; research and respond to questions from HR representatives and employees
  • Complete annual ACA reporting
  • Review and approval of qualifying event benefits changes - follow established rules and procedures; research prior determinations to ensure compliant and consistent administration of plan
  • Serve as disability and leave programs subject matter expert for HR Representatives and employees
    • Resolve difficult and sometimes complex escalated problems
    • Develop and conduct training on benefits regulations, best practices and administrative procedures
Qualifications/Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years of experience in a related role
  • Data analytics experience and strong knowledge of Excel
  • Current understanding of legal and regulatory compliance requirements related to benefit plan compliance
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Excellent communications and relationship building skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage competing tasks
  • Ability to confidently present in front of groups
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality when necessary
  • Ability to work independently with regular supervision
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access); PowerPoint and Excel skillsmust be demonstrated as part of the selection process
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • HRIS system experience required, SAP experience preferred
  • CEBS, CBP, aPHR, SHRM-CP or similar designation preferred
  • MBA desirable
