Inova Health System is seeking a dedicated Sr. Clinical Pharmacist - Bispecific T-Cell Engager (BiTE) Therapy to join the team. This role will be Full-time rotating shift: Monday - Friday |Sign-on Bonus & relocation assistance eligible.

"The Bispecific T-Cell Engager (BiTE) Therapy Pharmacist supports the development, implementation, and ongoing advancement of a specialized BiTE therapy program, promoting safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, this role provides clinical expertise in treatment planning, toxicity prevention and management, patient education, and care coordination throughout the treatment journey. The pharmacist serves as a subject matter expert for BiTE therapies, leading educational initiatives, supporting policy and protocol development, and driving program growth, quality improvement, and operational excellence."

Sr. Clinical Pharmacist BMT Job Responsibilities:

  • Interprets, prepares, and verifies medication orders as appropriate.
  • Provides clinical consultation and cost-effective alternatives.
  • Issues controlled substances in compliance according to the DEA and VA Board of Pharmacy requirements.
  • Participates in the medication formulary review and approval process.
  • Monitors drug therapies for interactions, allergies, and appropriateness.
  • Reports adverse drug reactions promptly and accurately.
  • Minimizes non-formulary procurement and supports substitutions.
  • Participates in decentralized rounding with clinical teams.
  • Responds to emergent bedside alerts and codes (adult and pediatric as designated).
  • Precepts learners as appropriate.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned, including, but not limited to:
    • Spearheading grant work and submission related to the practice of pharmacy.

    • Lecturing and facilitating learning opportunities for pharmacy students, PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents, and practitioners.

    • Performing duties on local, system. And national committees which contribute to the development and professional advancement of pharmacy practice.

    • Serving as a leader or facilitator on a regional or national professional organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctorate degree in pharmacy (PharmD)

  • Experience: Five (5) years of clinical oncology experience.

  • Licensed Pharmacist in the state of VA.

  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for Critical Care and Emergency Medicine, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PGY1/PGY2 Oncology residency.
  • Solid Tumors malignant hematology experience.
  • Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP)or certification obtained within two (2) years of employment.
  • Precepting experience.
