Summary

Responsible for the overall coordination of outgoing shipments, coordinates customer orders to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and methods with efficiency in mind to meet demanding on-time delivery requirements in addition to coordination of receiving activities. Responsible for the overall coordination of receiving in materials, components, supplies, along with verifying the accuracy of the orders and updating orders in the ERP system.

Duties

  • Receive in freezer material, supplies, component parts, MA's, and subcontract jobs.
  • Unload incoming freight and coordinate staging within the receiving department.
  • Pull freezer material for kit cut/lay-up
  • Greet vendor deliveries or shipping pick-ups.
  • Process packing slips and RMA's into the ERP system.
  • Perform pick-ups of any material, supplies, or components that must be picked up from an off-site location.
  • Direct and communicate with night shift receiving and day shift shared utility help on the needs for the receiving department daily so that all receiving is completed within twenty-four hours of arrival.
  • Maintain record-keeping on received in materials.
  • Responsible for safety in the shipping and receiving area and maintain and complete all safety check sheets located or assigned within the receiving department.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory tracking when needed.
  • Coordinates freezer capacity constraints with purchasing.
  • May assist workers in shipping and receiving activities such as ensuring incoming deliveries are distributed to appropriate locations, prepare bills of lading, and other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure orders are prepared and shipped in a timely manner to meet on-time delivery dates and analyze shipping data.
  • Communicate all shipping/receiving related information to supervisor and appropriate operations department team members.
  • Utilize and analyze ERP system to understand customer requirements, and provide continuous improvement ideas for effective planning and manufacturing activities related to shipping.
  • Process ASN in Supplier portals.
  • Perform pick-ups of any material, supplies, or components that must be picked up from an off-site location.
  • Communicate and coordinate with all operations departments on any issues or conflicts that will impact on-time delivery.
  • Provide status updates as needed to supervisor and any other relevant contacts.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Shipping, Warehouse, and Material Handling operations, methods, and practices.
  • Effective and oral written communication.
  • Certified forklift driver
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under deadline pressure
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Read blue prints to follow customer specifications and be extremely detail oriented.

Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Experience

One to three years of shipping and/or receiving experience preferred.

Computer Skills

Ability to operate MRP/ERP system, Microsoft Office Suite, process ASN's and RMA's.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to precarious places and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate requiring hearing protection in certain areas.

Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

PPE is provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee's position and exposure.

Schedule

Day Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM, additional overtime hours as needed
