SUMMARY

SouthState Bank is seeking a detail-oriented, Early Career Recruiter to support the execution of our early talent strategy. This role is responsible for coordinating campus recruiting efforts, creating positive candidate experience, and supporting internship and early career development programs from recruitment through full cycle recruiting, onboarding, engagement, and offboarding. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, collaborative, and passionate about identifying, engaging, and developing emerging talent. This role is a hybrid role model and will be in the office onsite in Tampa FL downtown 3 days a week.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Candidate Experience

  • Manage interview scheduling, candidate appointments, hiring manager availability, candidate invitations, interview confirmations, and related communication using Outlook and the applicant tracking system.

  • Prepare and process offer-related administration, background check requests, onboarding documentation, and new hire records for interns and associates.

  • Maintain accurate candidate records, update applicant statuses, and ensure data integrity throughout the recruiting process.

Campus & Recruiting Logistics

  • Coordinate and schedule on-campus and virtual recruiting events, including career fairs, information sessions, interviews, and related campus activations.

  • Prepare, ship, inventory, and track recruiting materials, branded giveaways, signage, and event resources to ensure brand consistency and timely execution.

  • Collaborate with university career centers, external vendors, and internal partners to confirm participation, logistics, and event requirements.

  • Prepare, submit, and track expense reports for recruiting events and program-related activities.

  • Create and distribute reports and updates related to recruiting activity, intern and associate progress, program effectiveness, and stakeholder needs.

Early Career Program & Development Support

  • Support onboarding and orientation logistics, including welcome kits, materials preparation, and distribution of onboarding resources.

  • Coordinate candidate travel, hotel accommodations, expense reimbursements, and other recruiting logistics for interns and associates

  • Manage and track intern and associate assignments, deliverables, attendance, engagement activities, and task completion.

  • Partner with market leaders and subject matter experts to coordinate professional development sessions, engagement touchpoints, and program events.

  • Monitor intern and associate feedback, survey results, attendance, and program effectiveness to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Coordinate offboarding activities, including final evaluations, wrap-up deliverables, and closeout communications

  • Support special projects and provide general onsite support in Tampa to the early careers team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.

  • 3-5 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition or early talent development programs highly preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on service and responsiveness.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with Workday or other applicant tracking systems highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.

  • Willingness to travel 40% to support recruiting events and early career programming.

Required annual compliance training, New Employee Orientation

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is Hybrid with onsite in an office environment 3 days a week.

Pay for this position is anticipated to be between $70,000 - $90,000, actual offers to be determined based on applicant's skills, experience and education.
