$18.05 to $19.86 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs entry-level technical work related to the claims handling process for Risk Management's Property, Casualty, and Workers' Compensation programs. Work involves claims entry, setup, and transmission to the contracted Third-party Administrator (TPA); maintenance of the County's electronic claims system; and the creation of forms, logs, and reports.



REQUIREMENTS: Two (2) years of customer service and/or office experience involving dealing with the public, which includes experience utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other similar software. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience in an insurance or risk management office or a local government property, casualty, and/or workers' compensation program is preferred. Experience working with medical and/or legal terminology is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must pass the Brevard County typing test at 35 correct words per minute. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
