Primary Objective:

To support the licensed teacher by providing instructional assistance and performing supervision duties.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provides instructional support by working with small groups and individual students under the supervision of the ASL classroom teacher.
2. Assist the licensed teacher in classroom management.
3. Help facilitate basic daily communication between students, teachers, and staff using written language, visual tools, or conversational ASL (ASL skills welcomed but not required).
4. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

2. Experience in working with high school students.
