About the Opportunity

In this position, you will be the architect of accurate cost projections, directly influencing project feasibility and profitability. Your expertise will be crucial in translating complex designs into tangible budgets, ensuring competitive pricing and efficient resource management. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process from inception to completion, providing accurate cost estimates and pre-construction budgets to project leadership.
• Develop and manage the pre-construction budget and estimate throughout the entire process.
• Conduct preliminary cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project expenses.
• Evaluate and analyze project documents, specifications, and plans thoroughly.
• Work collaboratively with project leadership and sub-contractors to ensure accurate and competitive estimates/pricing.
• Manage the subcontractor bidding and evaluation process to secure the best partnerships.
• Conduct pre-bid site visits to assess field conditions and project feasibility, ensuring realistic projections.
• Provide essential support to the project team during the construction phase.
• Continually update and maintain the estimating database for historical proposals, cost estimates, and design drawings.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as an estimator.
• Ability to read and interpret conceptual drawings and construction plans and specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, enabling efficient project handling.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
• Must be able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
