Position Highlights

The Department of Biosystems Engineering (BE) at the University of Arizona seeks to hire a limited-term instructor to teach BE 483/583 for Fall 2026. The successful candidate of this course will teach BE 483/583 for Fall 2026.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach BE 483/583
  • Correspond with student on D2L as needed
  • Grade papers, online discussion post and exams
  • Record student course grades

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of greenhouse structural design and environmental control
    (heating, cooling, and ventilation).
  • Knowledge of hydroponic crop production and plant
    nutrient delivery systems.
  • Knowledge in post-harvest handling, intensive field production
    systems, and crop storage.
Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD in Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering, or related engineering
    field.
