The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Job Description

The Auditor will be responsible for ongoing monitoring and training of department staff. The individual will be responsible for analyzing, verifying, and enforcing compliance with WGU policy regarding proper evaluation and business processing protocols as well as accuracy of data management. Engages in frequent contact and collaboration with the OTR Leadership group and other Academic staff as necessary to maintain high data quality standards.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for quality assurance and quality improvement of the evaluation and data entry functions of the department.
  • Perform audits to ensure compliance of university policies and procedures.
  • Attends departmental meetings to present findings.
  • Present holistic trainings with staff.
  • Provide and conduct specific training(s) as needed.
  • Ability to interpret and apply university policies and procedures related to transcript evaluations, student records, credentials, data management, and quality assurance processes.
  • Suggest and advise upon corrective actions/policies as identified.
  • Facilitates the communication of audit results through written reports and oral presentations to management.

  • Ability to work with student information and document management systems to validate data integrity, reconcile discrepancies, and support quality improvement.
  • Moderate to expert skill level with Microsoft Office Suite

Job Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or equivalent

Experience

  • Two (2) years auditing, training, or academic records experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Versed in the application of professional auditing standards.
  • Experience using a student information system (such as Banner/PeopleSoft/Salesforce), and document imaging system (such as OnBase/Kofax)
  • Transcript Evaluation Experience
  • Registrar Operations Experience
  • Academic Records Experience

Experience in lieu of education

Equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this job my substitute for education degree requirements. Generally, equivalent relevant experience is defined as 1 year of education and is at the discretion of the hiring leader.

This position requires occasional travel of up to 20%, including required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year). Additional travel may include conferences, visits to company locations, and other business-related events as needed. Additional travel may be assigned as needed to support business requirements.

Position & Application Details
