Inside the Role Ability to operate equipment and perform various selected operations in the manufacture of truck parts; mechanical experienceAbility to perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including repetitive processes Ability to interpret and follow standard work instructions, drawings, operation sheets, set-up sheets and relative paperwork. Ability to meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement Responsibilities to operate the following equipment: Saws, Benders, Drilling Machines, Punching Machines, Presses, Grinders, Riveters, Forklifts; Overhead Hoist, Scales, Tapes, Rulers, Go/No Go Gages, Squares, Protractors, Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Height Gages, Rulers, Wrenches and various hand tools. Should be able to complete required job functions and pass evaluation of skills at an acceptable level within 40 days. Move material within plant, load, and offload trucks, locate and store material, weigh out and count parts, operate necessary equipment, handle paperwork in prescribed manner, ensure safe operation practices following prescribed safety procedures, maintain safe equipment, and maintain clean work area. Will be expected to learn Access and utilize various portions of the IMS/MRP system. Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
