Job Description:

Tria Federal (Tria) is seeking a talented Database Developer for a key FEMA system. In this role, you'll be responsible for the evolution of data, including maintaining and improving dozens of SQL scripts, streamlining our data operations, and maintaining our database to ensure peak performance.

Basic Requirements:



  • 7+ years of experience (or 11 total years without a Masters)
  • Master's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a related discipline
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to work in a highly functioning Agile team
  • Proven track record using MS SQL Server database, creating complex stored procedures, functions, views. Experience with Azure SQL Database is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable presenting to customers both virtually and in-person.
  • Ability to thrive and create professional resolutions in adverse situations with minimal guidance or oversight.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project)
  • Demonstrated ability to write large, complex, high-performing queries.



Responsibilities:



  • Create, improve, and debug scripts to build, move and modify database objects, automating where possible.
  • Develop complex stored procedures, functions, triggers and views.
  • Design logical and physical data models along with preparing and presenting statistical information for both internal and external use.
  • Collaborate with Application Developers to implement best practices with database, statement, and query design.
  • Providing support, guidance and collaborating with Application Developers to implement database design, and review developer's work to ensure correct implementation.
  • Create and apply optimization strategies.
  • Assist with schema design, code review and query tuning.
  • Upgrade and improve data and application schema, preparing design documents and functional specifications.
  • Work in conjunction with the engineering and data science teams to resolve issues, evaluate software modules, and develop appropriate specifications.
