Position Responsibilities

The Vice President, Corporate Controller is the senior accounting executive responsible for leading the company's global accounting, financial reporting, revenue accounting, transaction processing, compliance, and internal control functions. Reporting directly to the CFO, this leader will partner across the organization and with executive leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, scalable processes, strong governance, and operational excellence in support of the company's growth and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own global accounting operations, including financial reporting, revenue accounting, consolidations, transaction processing, and related accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and well-controlled monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing global accounting organization, building the talent, structure, and operating cadence required to support a complex, scaling enterprise software business.
  • Maintain a strong SOX control framework and drive a culture of accountability, compliance, and control discipline.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements, including appropriate documentation and technical accounting support.
  • Own the relationship with the parent company as it relates to U.S. GAAP financial statements, reporting requirements, accounting matters, and related deliverables.
  • Lead annual audits, statutory reporting, and related compliance activities across applicable jurisdictions.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and technical accounting advisors, ensuring timely resolution of complex accounting and reporting matters.
  • Lead ERP and revenue system optimization initiatives to improve scalability, accuracy, efficiency, and control across the accounting and finance technology environment.
  • Improve automation across the broader business systems landscape, partnering cross-functionally to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • Leverage data, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to improve process efficiency, reporting accuracy, and insight generation.
  • Provide leadership across core accounting functions, ensuring clear accountability, consistent execution, and continuous improvement across teams and geographies.
  • Partner with leaders across the business to align accounting processes, controls, and reporting with operational needs and strategic priorities.
  • Partner closely with FP&A to optimize processes, improve reporting, enhance forecast accuracy, and ensure finance teams operate with aligned data and assumptions.
  • Partner closely with the CFO, executive leadership, Sales, Services, Customer Success, Engineering, Product, Legal, and the parent company to support growth initiatives, SaaS transactions, acquisitions, and long-term value creation, while effectively navigating differing perspectives to reach sound business outcomes.

Qualifications


  • 15 or more years of progressive accounting experience, including senior-level controllership or accounting leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven experience leading an accounting organization of 20 or more professionals, including teams operating across multiple locations or regions.
  • Experience in B2B enterprise SaaS or enterprise software environments.
  • Deep ASC 606 software revenue recognition expertise, including experience with complex revenue arrangements.
  • Strong technical accounting foundation, with the ability to evaluate complex accounting matters and communicate conclusions clearly to executive stakeholders.
  • Experience operating in international, multi-entity, and multi-currency environments.
  • Experience leading business systems transformation initiatives, including ERP, revenue systems, automation, and process optimization projects.
  • Experience driving technology-enabled transformation, including automation, process redesign, and offshoring strategies.
  • M&A experience, including integration support, accounting diligence, purchase accounting, or related transaction activities.
  • Experience managing remote teams and working effectively with offshore or globally distributed resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives end-to-end and deliver results in complex, fast-moving environments.
  • Ability to balance multiple strategic initiatives while maintaining execution discipline and attention to detail.
  • Big Four or national public accounting firm experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

Compensation Info

The U.S. salary range for this position is $197,500.00-$348,500.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
