We are looking for an experienced Sales Quotation Specialist capable of producing technically accurate commercial quotations for custom-engineered induction heat treating systems. This position works closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management to evaluate customer requirements, recommend appropriate induction heating solutions, and prepare competitive proposals for capital equipment projects.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in heat treating applications, manufacturing processes, metallurgy, automation, and engineered-to-order equipment..

Primary Responsibilities
  • Prepare complete technical and commercial quotations for custom induction heating and heat treating systems.
  • Review customer RFQs, specifications, production requirements, drawings, and process documentation to determine equipment scope.
  • Evaluate customer manufacturing processes and recommend appropriate heating solutions.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Project Management throughout the quotation process.
  • Develop quotations for heating applications..
  • Develop detailed bills of material and cost estimates for custom equipment.
  • Ensure quotations meet company pricing policies, profitability objectives, and technical standards.
  • Identify technical risks and recommend appropriate commercial assumptions and exclusions.
  • Assist Sales Engineers during customer meetings and technical proposal reviews.
  • Support contract review and project handoff activities following order receipt.
  • Maintain accurate quotation documentation within ERP and CRM systems.
  • Continuously improve quotation accuracy by reviewing completed project costs and lessons learned.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with relevant estimating and proposal development experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a corporate sales environment
  • Knowledge of Heat-treating processes a big plus
  • Degree in material science or equivalent work experience in material sciences a plus
  • Automation Quotation/Estimation Work Experience a big plus
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Technical, Creative and Detail Oriented
  • Skilled in Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • 10 -20% travel is possible
