What to Expect
Tesla is looking for a highly-motivated Associate Manager to lead our LFP Battery Cell Manufacturing maintenance planning and spare parts program. We are seeking a high performing leader to coach and direct the performance of a Spares and Planning Operations team. The role will lead a team of supervisors, material planners, and technicians responsible for ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate inventory levels for the manufacturing spare parts warehouses and inventory control system.

What You'll Do
  • Maximize factory service at the best possible cost Drive for operations excellence: optimization of stocked MRO, value optimization (kitting, RMA, etc.), warehouse optimization, etc.
  • Develop, transform, and innovate our planning and operations processes in response to rapidly changing constraints in the factory environment
  • Own PM-aligned spare parts strategy - partner with Reliability Engineering to set stocking levels based on PM schedules, equipment criticality, and MTBF data
  • Manage pre-kitting and staging of parts for planned maintenance events and scheduled shutdowns
  • Manage supplier relationships for long-lead and critical spare parts; negotiate consignment and VMI agreements
  • Oversee inventory budget; drive cost reduction through demand analysis, standardization, and excess elimination, ensuring CMMS/ERP data integrity for parts master, BOMs, and reorder parameters
  • Tesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM or relevant field, proof of exceptional skills in related fields with practical manufacturing experience, supply chain or purchasing, or equivalent
  • 4+ years in spare parts, MRO, or maintenance inventory management in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing teams of 8+ direct/indirect reports
  • Experience with CMMS platforms
  • Track record of excellence in current and prior roles, demonstrable with metrics or KPIs
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
