Could you be the full-time onsite Project Quality Leader in West Mifflin, PA, US (Pittsburgh area) we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your quality assurance and project management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. In your role, you will be responsible for supporting the project team in our efforts to ensure the project safety and drive quality assurance by coordinating all quality and safety activities throughout the project. You will be an integral member of a core team managing various rolling stock projects. You will be involved in everything from direct customer communications, to internal collaboration with project management and engineering teams, ultimately, ensuring we are on track to meet customer requirements.

We'll look to you for:



  • Acting as the interface between the customer quality and safety teams.
  • Establishing Project Quality plans and ensuring the proper application during contract execution in accordance to the contract requirements, and to Alstom processes.
  • Supporting the project teams and the PM to prepare gate reviews & follow up related action plans.
  • Reporting quality and safety alerts and managing non-conformities and Safety issues.
  • Facilitating problem solving during project execution phase to reduce the costs of non-quality (8D, lessons learned and standards evolution).
  • Improving the efficiency of quality teams to reduce the function costs.
  • Providing support for progress periodic reporting through quality indicators and identify improvement opportunities.


All about you

You will bring exceptional collaboration and communication skills, along with a well-developed understanding of standard quality tools (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, ECM). Your operations and document management experience will also be beneficial. Your success will be determined by your ability to ensure that the customer requirements are respected, and the team has full understanding of the work that needs to be completed. You will have a measurable impact, ensuring your projects are proceeding properly, from gate to gate.

  • Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field,
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within quality operations in an industrial or manufacturing environment,
  • Experience with structured problem-solving tools (Lean, Six Sigma, 8D or similar),
  • Knowledge of standard quality tools such as ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, ECM,
  • Familiarity with customer communication and collaboration in a project environment,
  • Verbal and written fluency in English,
  • Process-oriented mindset,
  • Ability to manage non-conformities and safety issues effectively,
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on reducing costs of non-quality,
  • Knowledge of railway industry would be an asset.
