Job Description

The Manager, U.S. Debit role supports the development and execution of strategic initiatives to drive growth in Visa's debit business. This role focuses on analyzing emerging opportunities, managing workstreams within cross-functional programs, and enabling go-to-market execution across priority segments.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and can work effectively across Product, Sales, Pricing, and Client teams to drive progress towards executing key initiatives, manage multiple priorities, demonstrates ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and to provide ongoing support to key cross-functional partners.

This role will also play a key part in translating Visa's debit strategy into actionable insights and deliverables for both internal stakeholders and external clients. The Manager will contribute to shaping how Visa engages issuers and ecosystem partners by supporting the development of data-driven narratives, client-facing materials, and strategic recommendations that position Visa's debit solutions to win in an increasingly competitive and evolving payments landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop insights and support strategy development by conducting market analysis, competitive benchmarking, segmentation assessments, and synthesize complex data into actionable recommendations to identify growth opportunities

  • Support pilot design and go-to-market execution, including building business cases, developing materials, and helping operationalize new acceptance use cases with internal and external partners

  • Manage and execute key workstreams within strategic initiatives, driving progress against milestones, identifying risks, and coordinating deliverables across cross-functional partners

  • Build and manage performance tracking, including dashboards, reporting, and analysis of key metrics (e.g., Payment volume, revenue, etc.), highlight key drivers of performanceand recommend actions to accelerate growth.

  • Drive day-to-day coordination across Product, Sales, Pricing, Legal, and Client teams, ensuring alignment and enabling clear, consistent communication to stakeholders

  • Support development of client-facing content and executive-level materials, including scorecards, business updates, and strategic narratives that clearly communicate performance trends, opportunities, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and advance emerging growth opportunities, including new use cases, segments, and product enhancements that expand debit relevance and drive incremental payment volume

  • Contribute to ongoing industry intelligence and thought leadership efforts, synthesizing trends across regulatory, competitive, and client landscapes to inform strategy and proactively shape Visa's debit positioning

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

  • Experience in product management, product ownership, business process analysis, or sales operations.
  • Experience working with large data sets and synthesizing clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience in managing and implementing complex projects directly or through supervision.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams to implement and assess operational impact of process changes.
  • Experience working with issuers and clients in the financial services industry or high-growth technology companies.
  • Experience in product management in payments, common services, and identity and access management.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in highly matrixed organizations.
  • Experience developing and executing product strategies that drive adoption and revenue growth.

The estimated salary range for this positionis $146,200.00 to $ 233,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
