The Role

The Lead Analyst, Business Compliance - Gas Pipeline Safety & Compliance, is responsible for leading the execution of the Gas Pipeline Safety Control Testing program. This role oversees the control testing workplan, associated analytics, and supporting / leading team, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and enterprise risk management standards.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of the annual control testing workplan, ensuring alignment with risk priorities and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee daily testing activities, monitor progress against milestones, and ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Provide technical direction and ensure adherence to internal control testing standards and methodologies
  • Perform and oversee advanced data analysis to identify control performance trends, gaps, and emerging risks
  • Develop dashboards, models, and reporting using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or equivalent platforms
  • Knowledge of Automation / Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and reporting on control testing results, risk exposure, and mitigation strategies
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on workplan status, findings, and remediation progress
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, pipeline safety, compliance, risk management, or control testing within the utility or energy sector required
  • Strong knowledge of pipeline safety regulations (PHMSA, state requirements) and control frameworks required
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, projects, or workstreams required
  • Advanced analytical skills, including experience working with large datasets and developing insights required
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information to senior leadership required
  • Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools (e.g., Archer or equivalent) preferred
  • Knowledge of API RP 1173 / Pipeline Safety Management Systems preferred
  • Experience supporting regulatory audits or enforcement actions preferred
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI preferred
  • Valid driver's license required

Salary

$147,000 - $155,000 a year
