Manages the environmental health and safety (EHS) function across assigned operations, providing leadership to professional team members and/or supervisors. Is accountable for the performance and results of the EHS team, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address operational challenges and evolving regulatory standards. Provides technical guidance and expertise to leadership, employees, and customers while developing and implementing programs that foster a culture of safety, compliance, and environmental stewardship. Operates with guidance from the director and collaborates cross-functionally to integrate EHS practices into business operations. Key Responsibilities
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree Specialized Degree: engineering, industrial safety, or related science with experience in a manufacturing environment Years of Experience: 5-7 Years Field(s) of Expertise: manufacturing, occupational safety experience in general industry, and 5-year experience of environmental efforts with waste management, EPCRA, storm water, spill prevention, air, and waste Required Licenses and Certifications: OSHA 10-hour, OSHA 30-hour, ASP, CSP, SMS Preferred Education & Experience
Specialized Degree: engineering, industrial safety, occupational health and safety, public safety, engineering, or even science disciplines like chemistry or biology Years of Experience: 8-11 Years Field(s) of Expertise: Waste Management, Air/Water Permitting, Emergency Response, and regulatory compliance (EPA, OSHA) Preferred Licenses and Certifications: Professional certification in safety desired.
