Job Description Summary:

The position summary states the general nature and purpose of the job. Overall accountabilities are defined in this section. Responsible for training and assisting assigned hourly employees in the development of techniques of positions within the distribution center. Will work most of the time on the distribution center floor coaching and assisting employees in their Material Handing techniques and knowledge. Will work with all employees, spending more time with those having trouble with maintaining an acceptable standard of work. Maintains tracking documents to best identify those needing additional training. Essential

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows: Travels the distribution center in observation of inappropriate job completion or techniques that could prevent an employee from completing their tasks and duties in a timely and safe manner. Corrects and retrains employees exhibiting behavior that is contrary to training. Documents and identifies trends involving employees, equipment, or jobs/tasks having most the most difficulty maintaining an acceptable standard of work. Schedule training time with employees needing additional training. In the absence of key personnel, the employee's supervisor, or qualified designee (one that has been trained in the key employee's duties) is responsible for completing or delegating the completion of all required tasks and responsibilities. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 years experience in a distribution/shipping environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Must be highly skilled in the use of all types of powered industrial trucks, RFID scanners, tilt tables, dock plates, etc.

* Must be willing to take instruction from the management staff and train according to our best practices.

* Must have the ability to train and communicate effectively both verbal and written.

* Ability to evaluate employee performance/techniques.

* Must be an effective teacher/trainer exhibiting patience and dedication.

* Must be able to deal with stressful situations calmly and exhibit good judgment. Must have good time management skills.

* Bilingual, preferred.
