Position Title:GROUP LEADER - Storehouse / Warehouse Operations

Job Summary:
The Group Leader - Storehouse/Warehouse Operations oversees daily warehouse activities, including workload distribution, inventory control, receiving, product delivery, and issue resolution. This role leads and trains employees, ensures safety and compliance standards are met, maintains records and reports, and collaborates with vendors and internal customers to support efficient operations. The position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the efficient operation of Storehouse / Warehouse Operations by coordinating all day-to-day activities including: schedules, distribution of workloads, and daily problem resolution. Maintain working knowledge of each Storehouse position's responsibilities. Maintain complete confidentiality of all information processed.

  • Maintain procurement backlogs as required. Problem resolution in the areas of, but not limited to: receiving, product dispensing, inventory cycle counts, inventory locations and product delivery.

  • Ensure safety requirements are met including safe behavior and proper PPE equipment.

  • Implement the training and development of Storehouse / Warehouse employees.

  • Maintain statistical records and files related to Storehouse / Warehouse projects and provide periodic reports as requested.

  • Identify, communicate and resolve problems with buyers, vendors, and internal customers related to parts, supplies, and procedures in a supportive problem-solving manner. Perform inventory control activities for stock items, i.e., issues, receipts, returns and adjustments within established guidelines.

  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required.

  • 3+ years of Storehouse / Warehouse administrative experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel, SAP experience is helpful.

  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills, strong math skills, attention to details and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions and meet agreed upon deadlines.

  • Strong customer focus and willingness to work with others within the department to achieve team goals through expanded knowledge and skills.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, effectively lead a work team and provide training and direction to others.

  • Willingness to work in a heavy industrial environment.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.

  • Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane.

  • Demonstrated safety leadership.
