Work Schedule: Full-time

Compensation: $38.00-$38.00 / hour

Tessera is seeking an experienced and detail-orientedRoofer. TheRooferPerforms the roofing duties necessary tomaintainindustrial building roofs and new installations ofvarious typesand systems. The Rooferoperatesequipment associated with the above processes with tar kettles, roof sweepers, cutting machines, torch equipment, standard measuring and testing equipment, powertoolsand associatedrooferhand tools. The Roofer will plan andestimatetasking, materialselectionfrom blueprints and drawings, lay out and job phasing.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Removes snow, water, or debris from roofs prior to applying roofing materials.

  • Inspects problem roofs todeterminethe best repair procedures.

  • Sets up scaffolding to provide safe access to roofs.

  • Studies ofblueprints, sketches, or building plans for informationpertaining totype of materialrequired, such as lumber of fiberboard, and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated.

  • Ensures all roof repairs will meet manufacture specifications to include approved material

  • Communicates and interacts directly with the customer and supervisors; informing the customer of unexpected oradditionalrepairs anddeterminingcustomer needs to include following up to ensure work has been completed and customer satisfaction.

  • Ensures completed work meets quality control, Safety Procedures/Polies, and OSHA standards/regulations.

  • All Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma/GED is required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of roofing experience.

  • Carlisle Applicator Certification preferred / must be obtained within90 daysof hire.

  • Must be familiar with the products and applications associated with thedifferent typesof roofing materials

  • Must be able to work at heights.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
