Production Technician

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will work 12 hour rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 environment
• Starting and shutting down equipment and processes
• Further, you will be monitoring and adjusting equipment and plant process operating parameters
• Correctly performing valve line-ups is part of your role
• You will be preparing equipment for maintenance work including lock-out-tag-out
• Correctly and safely permitting maintenance work
• Professional judgment for operating the facility safely, reliably, and efficiently at all times
• Procedure development and training of new employees is required in this role
• Effectively communicating with our customers and suppliers when required
• You must be able to perform basic troubleshooting and recognize when to escalate matters when more experienced specialists must be called in for support

What makes you great

• You hold High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• More than two (2 +) years Production Operations experience or Associates Degree with previous internship in Plant Operations
• Strong interest in and experience with electrical and mechanical systems
• You have a working knowledge of computers and typical computer programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft applications)
• Proficiency with a variety of hand tools, meters, instrument calibration equipment etc
• Working knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and motors
• Must be able to climb ladders and steps, lift up to 50 lbs., and work at heights
• Associates Degree or higher is preferred
