Description
Job Title: Senior Quality Inspector
Location: Onsite in Charleroi, PA
Employment Type: Contract-to-direct (position open due to promotion)
Industry: Defense
Hourly Contractor Rate: Target of $34.06 (flexible to $39.85 for the ideal candidate match)
Note: The intent is to fill this position with a contractor that wants to be a direct employee of the customer. They will convert the individual in the future.

What You'll Do:
  • Inspect parts, materials, assemblies, and equipment for compliance with engineering and quality requirements
  • Perform real-time defect evaluations and document findings accurately
  • Operate and monitor automated electronic and mechanical test equipment
  • Verify implementation of corrective actions and support rework activities
  • Prepare and maintain quality assurance documentation and inspection records
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues
  • Apply statistical process control and quality methodologies to improve product performance
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required (Associate's degree allows 4 years of experience)
  • Min 6 years of mechanical and electronics (metals, cables, PCBAs) manufacturing quality inspection experience that includes interpreting workmanship standards, engineering drawings, and inspection criteria
  • Min 3 years of experience in a lab tool environment performing mechanical and electronic inspections using measurement and test equipment
What Sets You Apart:
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • J-STD-001, J-STD-002, IPC-610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, or X-Ray inspection certifications
  • Experience setting up electronic or mechanical test configurations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate defect analysis
  • Ability to multitask effectively and collaborate across teams
  • Interest in leveraging AI and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance quality processes
  • Working knowledge of ESD control, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and statistical process control techniques
Additional Information:
  • Position is 100% onsite in Charleroi, PA
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen
  • Occasional overtime may be required based on production demands and business needs
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.
