HJF is seeking a Data Entry Clerk II to conduct the data entry management activities of a research study/protocol.

This position will be in support of the Center for Advanced Research for Military Optimization, Readiness, and Rehabilitation (ARMORR). The Study Coordinator will be hired to support the NCAA/DoD Concussion Assessment Research and Education [CARE] Consortium project. The individual must be local to Niceville, FL or able to commute to Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.

This study is a longitudinal follow-up on previously-assessed military service academy cadets/midshipmen to address critical questions about potential long-term effects of concussion/mTBI and head impact exposure on warfighter brain health.

  • Ensures that study data is entered and analyzed in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Ensures that the confidentiality and security of data are maintained.
  • Interprets source documents or new data and ensures data is entered into the appropriate database.
  • Sets up and maintains filing systems as necessary.
  • Recognizes and corrects errors in data entry before final data analysis.
  • Collects and sorts sources documents. Prepares coding sheets for the input of data.
  • May supervise the performance and activities of lower level data entry clerks.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
  • This may include attendance of and participation in required training for the role.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative data management, particularly in clinical studies.
  • Data entry, verification, and management skills.
  • Prior experience using RedCap as a Data Management Software
  • Attention to detail.

Physical Capabilities

  • Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.

Work Environment

  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.
  • This is a remote position; however, individual must be local to Niceville, FL or able to commute to Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.

Compensation

  • The hourly pay range for this position is $22.16-$25.00. Actual hourly pay will be determined based on experience, education, etc.

Employment with HJF is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, contacting your professional references, verification of previous employment, education and credentials, a criminal background check, and a department of motor vehicle (DMV) check if applicable.
